The Chargeway Supports Equitable Access to Greenspace

The census tracts in our foot print rate 82nd, 88th, 95th percentile in the nations for least access to green space.

Currently about 5,400 people north central Southwest Detroit live within .25 miles of a park.

Once the chargeway is complete, that number will increase to 10,600.

With the Chargeway complete, nearly every resident in central southwest Detroit will live within 1,000 ft of a public park
